An insert for warming foods at buffets, catered events, and more

Omcan's series of steam table insets are available in 4 different capacities, ranging from 2.5 to 11 quarts. They feature a stainless steel construction and a thickness of 0.8 mm. The purpose of insets like these is to preserve the heat of foods for an extended period of time without it becoming overly dried out. Corresponding covers, hinged covers, and adaptor plates are also available.

What distinguishes insets from bain marie pots is that bain marie pots are warmed using water opposed to steam. Steam pans and insets, as their name implies, usually have a smaller amount of water under them that turns to steam and warms its contents whereas bain maries are surrounded by a deeper quantity of hot water.
