The Garland INSTINCT Table Top Flat Hob is a tabletop induction cooker. It is a member of the INSTINCT induction series. It has has two output options: 3.5 kW or 5 kW. Dimensions for the Garland GIIC-SH3.5 and the Garland GIIC-SH5.0 is 15" x 18" x 6" (WDH) . It has a simple, "tap and turn" control knob with twelve power levels. It also features continuous temperature measurement via Garland's trademarked RTCSmp technology.

Garland is an industry leader when it comes to induction products. With induction, the heat originates in the pan itself -- no pan, no heat. This technology makes your kitchen cooler and cleaner and all together more efficient than more traditional methods (it's at least 70% more efficient than gas).

The main difference between the INSTINCT Table Top Flat Hob and the Table Top Flat Slim Hob is that the INSTINCT Table Top Flat Hob is a newer model. Its control knob has been modernized with a "tap and turn" control feature and the flat top has a built-in digital display.
